On March 11th, 81 miles from Oshika Peninsula, a 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck. Thirty-three foot tsunami waves hit Japan, decimating the Pacific coast. Over 7,600 people are dead, over 2,500 are injured, over 11,700 are missing, and over 100,000 buildings are damaged or destroyed.

Hats for Help is divided into two parts, Red Cross Donations and TF2 Item Donations.

Red Cross Donations
Donate to the Red Cross by following the instructions in this post: http://unusualhatclub.com/forums/showthread.php?1794-General-Information&p=8136&viewfull=1#post8136 Once your donation has been verified, you will be given an equal amount of Hat Credits. You can then visit this forum section http://unusualhatclub.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?38-Redeem-Your-Hat-Credits and redeem your Hat Credits for all sorts of TF2 items, including Unusual hats! Not only is your charitable donation to the Red Cross tax deductible, but you can get all sorts of cool stuff using your Hat Credits.

Where did you think we got the items for which people can redeem their Hat Credits? We are collecting donations of Unusual hats, normal hats, promotional items, keys, metal, whatever! If it can be traded, it can be exchanged for Hat Credits. Hehe, just kidding. Seriously though, did you even read it? This is sponsored by the Unusual Hat Club, a very reputable TF2 organization, and all donations go DIRECTLY to the Red Cross. It’s not like you pay us and then we pay the Red Cross. We’ve done everything possible to make this as safe and simple for people to donate items and cash to benefit the Red Cross and relief efforts in Japan.
