I’ve decided after a bit of thinking to quit TF2. It’s just not all that fun any more, too much is expected of me (especially helping everyone out over Steam, I have recently just started completely ignoring people — I don’t think people realise the volume of requests for technical support I get despite putting a message in capital letters on my profile not to do so).

I talked to m0re yesterday about continuing configs, but he has said that he doesn’t want to, and to be honest I don’t blame him. In my experience the gratitude you get for releasing a ton of configs is a shitton of support requests to wake up to each day (usually because people can’t read), so I guess I won’t stop updating, but don’t nag me about it. Do feel free to nudge me about anything missing though, and I’ll add it in so that they won’t become outdated.

The eXtv November Top10 will still go ahead, reason it isn’t already out is a double RAID failure (both main and backup drive had data loss in both instances, sigh), which meant I already had to redownload/reorganise all of the submissions we recieved twice. And don’t even get me started on all of the people that asked me when it would be done, that shit fucking annoys the hell out of me. It should be done soon-ish.

I did consider leaving quietly, but I fear that then people will have questions (like: will the configs ever be updated again). I’ll still be on Steam, but if you ask me any technical questions, be prepared to be told to fuck off. Or you can pay me exorbitant amounts of money, either way is fine.

And I’m sure Telebear will do a much better job than I ever did trolling the shit out of these forums, so don’t worry about where your dose of trolling will come from.

It’s been good while it’s lasted, but it’s time to part ways. See you later!
