If someone tried to solve the problem and you didn’t give a shit to actually help out yourself despite the person asking for help, yes it does.
if someone offers a service that is not up to a reasonable standard it is then not up to that person to fix the problem Also what could mark have done to fix the issues of lag?!?? gone to the server hosting company and helped?!?
It can’t have been the fact that you let people play on extremely unreliable servers that lagged or crashed, weren’t updated for up to a week, banned regular players for bad reasons, didn’t ban irregular players after being reported, defaulted no votes to cp_waste and having a bot that crashed 25% of the time when a pickup started.
Mark could have literally done nothing to fix any of the problems he desribed here

Hold up bro. The times they lagged was like “wow, shit, i wasn’t expecting it to be this popular” so I really didn’t allow it enough resources. At one point, the 4 pickup servers were using more resources between 2 dedi servers than EVERY SINGLE OTHER SERVER in the whole of Pixel Gaming due to the insane amount of use they were getting. It ended coming down to “well, would I rather have the pickup servers lag occassionally or seriously piss off actual customers”. That’s really a no-brainer.

Discretion. You don’t ban a random person for a relatively minor offense.

If you were that keen to play badlands for the millionth time, why didn’t you vote for it? That’s like driving a car with a blindfold on, then blaming the person you crashed into for not moving out the way.

Or just you know… maybe had other things to do they felt were more important? Admittedly I was easily the most active admin, but Waebi was a great help when he wasn’t busy with r/l.
also never updated the bot with things like !friend
I didn’t really feel like it was worth my time adding it to the bot, so I just never got round to it. I’m sorry if I didn’t spend every waking breath trying to keep everyone totally happy about a free service.
Just for the record, pixel pickup probably cost me just short of £100 in the time it was going between using up a lot of resources (meaning I needed to buy new hardware quicker) and actually purchasing an NL dedi for the sole purpose of running the pickup servers. If you’ve got a spare £45/month, I’ll happily re-open it with 2 guaranteed lag free servers in NL.

Doesn’t matter, you shouldn’t punish people for not voting – no one ever played a game of Waste, we just didn’t join the server and added again, which was a massive waste of time.
