Hi, over a year i have those second lagz.
Its not connected to internet cause i got a regular ping and a great internet (5 mega)
steam support say this:
“This is normally a symptom of the Nvidia Network Access Manager software. If you are running this software, please follow these directions:

1. Go to Add/Remove programs in your control panel
2. Select change/remove “NVIDIA forceware Network Access Manager”
3. Select “Modify” > “Next”
4. Uncheck everything except: “Intelligent Application Manager” under Framework and Network Access Manager
5. Finish the install process.
6. Restart your computer
”
Also, i have a 9800GT 512 MB so its probaly somthing in Nvidia problam cause my friend have a good video card too (nvidia) and he got the same problem. i dont have any software called “NVIDIA forceware Network Access Manager”
help plz? :D

please describe your second lags a bit better

how often do they appear? like evrey 40 sec
regular / unregular? unregular i think its drops
have you checked your netgraph? ah?

are you using wlan? yep
any firewalls/antivir running? no

and i change somthing in my grafich control panel and my tf2 is stuck for like a min and then back all weird…

k only got problems with lags

cant help you with hardware lags.

you can find admirable in #wotr or #tf.wars i guess

PLZ READ CAURFELY BEFORE U ANSWER- I DONT HAVE AN INTERNET ISSUSE JUST HARDWARE…

how the hell do you know its not an internet issue and its just hardware? maybe you have it in other games just it does not give you the same response

Did you check how many amps it supplies to the 12v rail?

Is it enough for a 9800?

8500GT will most likely be a lack of fps.
What’s the brand/model of you power supply?
If you’ve got Sweex, Q-Tec or something similar, you’re pretty much fucked.
If it’s a decent one, you should be fine.
