so there are these new kinds of scammers. they trick you with a deal thats almost too good to be true, then they say “its no me who wants it, its my friend.” and redirects you to a third party trading site where you need to log in with your steam account and do the trade on there.

i strongly recommend you to stay away from these sites. Valve does not give you the items back if a third party site/application was used. However these sites are most likely only out to steal your steam account. there are also scammers claiming that the tf2 backpack has moved to a new adress. it havnt, and most likely never will.

bottom line: dont log in with your steam account information on a third party site, ever, even if they claim youll get a team spirit colored bills hat for your paint.

I got a free game when my account was hacked, apparently this guy wanted to use my account to play css. I did not have css so he just decided to purchase it on my account. I got it back a day later using steam support.

So i would encourage people to get their account hacked.
