Better, tickbox survey people from div4 upwards on the changes, get statistical data, profit.
More like div1/2+ (old div1/2)

[…]Thing is, I don’t really want to make a etf2l forum section for this either as that would have some of the same problems, and I think having our voice on the steamforums is important as well.
But, we would be able to pick the good topics and have everyone say “Yeah, this should go on the steamforums as its valuable information or something.
Idk, i’m just saying that its ridiculous the amount of stupid shit thats been posted already.

You’re not going to have enough data to make any sort of decent analysis.

You would easily have enough data. Because that’s about 40 teams, times 6 people (excl. backups). My guess is that would give us around 320 filled surveys. More than enough to draw proper conclusions from. Beats having another 300 extra surveys filled with random data by people who have less understanding of the game.

I’d personally like to know whether they plan on editing the HUD at all. There may be many lovely custom HUDs out there but most of them break with every other update and it’s just a nuisance. The defualt HUD has so many bugs involving overlaying elements and inconsistencies I’m surprised so little people have complained. The beta is the perfect opportunity to sort the damn thing out.

Very true.
There are a couple of “niggles” I have with the Medic side of the HuD, such as displaying the exact number of your ally’s health and enemy health in your kill cam. When you play on pubs, it’s quite useful to have people say “he has x hp” rather than “he’s low-ish” because the latter is purely subjective – having the hp told to you will help me decide whether to attack them or not.
Also, plus Valve, move the Ubercharge meter to the center (ala Broesel Hud) slightly more inwards at the bottom of the HuD with a larger meter (ala community HuD). Oh, and can I light up with pretty colours when I get an Uber? :D
I made a thread in the steam competitive forums for a better spectator hud:

If it interests you in any way, please post there.
The update earlier brought out a new version of the beta cp_granary. I have no idea what the difference is (its possibly just optimization), I just happened to notice the file got updated when I was putting out a patch for all the pixel gaming tf2 beta servers.
Anyone else only having some few items from your backpack from the original tf2 in promod, like hats and items and so on?
and can you still use the same huds from normal tf2 in the beta?

You get all the achievement items + promotional hats (Max’s Head, etc) that you’ve earnt + The Saharan Spy set. Unless Valve have patched it, you can get achievement milestone drops as well.
And yes, afaik, most HuDs will work with the beta. If you want a HuD-by-Hud confirmation, you’re going to have to wait. :P Anyway, Broesel HuD works fine with the Beta.
PVHud works fine with the beta.

Broesel hud works as well :)
As far as I can see, waste of hard disk space. Too few changes.

Think you missed the point
They are going to release changes a few at a time, atm valve want feedback on natasha, the 5cp gorge, and granary changes.
then once they have enough useful feedback, they will release other items for testing
