I could try to redesign a map completely, using decompiled vmf as a reference.

Yeah, I understand you F2. I was thinking maybe add a small setup time for Blu to make it so that Red have a chance to get there, but Blu would still probably get their heavier classes there quicker, so you’d probably have to redesign the spawn routes, maybe block the B spawn exit until the middle is capped for Blu, so that they have to come out of A, go through the A-B tunnels to B. Perhaps this gives Blu a slight advantage, but Red could possibly counter this with their height advantage?

I’m not sure, it would take some testing, but it might work.

Forgot to mention : I’ll try to make it absolutely symmetrical by mirroring attackers entrances at B. No promising whatsoever that I’ll make it at all, but i’ll do my best

Its an interesting idea, but it needs to have it’s own unique identity. Just copying Gravel Pit out, flippin bits around etc, won’t see the map getting very far.

As we’ve seen with Fastlane, Valve will pick up good maps (:P), and this has the potential to do be great because of the dynamics of the current points in Gravel Pit, but Valve would never take on board a mashup of one of their own maps. Whislt it might only be intended for the competitive community, if people choose not to play it, it wil die far quicker than if it were a stock map.

So basically travel time from initial spawn to center and to second point should be pretty much same? Wouldn’t forces arrive too fast from initial spawn to center atr ound start or it’ll be fine?

how could it be too fast, when its equal to both teams. its different to other maps (by a small amount), but why not.

I agree with whoever has mentioned that it would be nice to have a map were mid isn’t decided by ubers.

Really disliked the example someone gave earlier because it is not mirrored but reflected like lumberyard where people would stick to one side of map more and its not something you want in map like this so i made my own, not with paint either :P took couple of hours planning and making it. If enough people are interested i may aswell try and make it :D
