my dingaling isnt working

can anyone help me? (prefer not to reinstall tf2)
i tried to download a new dingaling wave sound (fragga’s), which didnt work for me, so i deleted it.
i’ve checked my commands of tf_dingaling,verify integrnity game content,defragment cache files,to download some new dingalings.
tug it?

It works on sever with sv_pure 2.
Try this :
Place your hitsound in tf/sound/ui.

play “ui/your_sound.wav”
tf_dingalingaling “1”
tf_dingaling_volume “1”
tf_dingaling_pitchmaxdmg “100”
tf_dingaling_pitchmindmg “100”
tf_dingaling_wav_override “ui/your_sound.wav”

putting +play "yoursound.wav" in your command line launch options has also helped in the past :o
One of my team mates went on a quest to figure out how to make the custom dingaling work and found this out:
play “______.wav” —> Ensures your hitbeep plays in pure servers
tf_dingalingaling “1” —> Enables the hitbeep
tf_dingaling_volume “1” —> Controls the volume
tf_dingaling_pitchmindmg “50” —> Used to set a low pitch of the ding for low damage
tf_dingaling_pitchmaxdmg “150” —> Used to set a high pitch of the ding sound for more damage. Change these numbers as you want, you’ll have to try different values to find what you like.
tf_dingaling_wav_override “______.wav” —> Enables overriding your own hitbeep over tf2 default.

Also, avoid opening the game and joining the server straight away from the servers in Steam, as it won’t play the hitsound to cache it properly.
