24hours-hosting got some nice servers.
MTF.px RED got one.
then put it to the test and be the first to get accredited ;)
that is, assuming you have a public server with them.

To be fair, routing is really a situational thing. There’s too many “what ifs” to make any reliable estimate. Following your logic:
64 bytes from g1-rbx.pixelgaming.eu (94.23.226.193): icmp_seq=4 ttl=63 time=0.287 ms
So I should get just slightly worse than 0.2 ms ping to any of the french Pixel Gaming servers.
64 bytes from g1-rbx.pixelgaming.eu (94.23.226.193): icmp_seq=4 ttl=53 time=46.8 ms
Oh wait I don’t, I get a lot worse.
64 bytes from g1-rbx.pixelgaming.eu (94.23.226.193): icmp_seq=4 ttl=59 time=6.58 ms
or not…
64 bytes from g1-rbx.pixelgaming.eu (94.23.226.193): icmp_seq=4 ttl=58 time=5.01 ms
:>
Those pings respectively are taken from: another server in the same building, my home server, my NL dedi, and my UK-based Web Server. They all show totally different things and are really touch and go. I agree its a good idea, its just not practical. :(
tl;dr : The only thing that matter is where you live and how good your internet is, anything else is barely going to make a difference.
I’m just worried people will look at this list and go “oh they’re really bad” or “oh they’re really good” when actually it doesn’t mean anything and its just another bullshit rating that too many people care about like Alexa ranking, “Website Value” and 1000fps servers.

Ziggo is shit so that can only mean good things for other dutchies :)
40mbit/40mbit Ziggo line here, no complaints. Its a fiber business line for all the student apartments here though.

Wish they did fiber here. My parents are on Ziggo and I only ever hear them complain (random downtime which sometimes lasts for hours, slow webbrowsing at random times, etc).
I’m glad I’m on ADSL.

Then maybe routing/ping isn’t worth measuring — just the quality of the server itself.

Ye, hence the entire reason its difficult for me to promote pixel gaming without quoting bullshit numbers, there isn’t really any truly tangible way of testing the quality of a server. As long as a server is 500fps+ (and stable at that frame rate), then it’ll be good, simple as that. Although if you do want to go testing that: http://www.fpsmeter.org/
I regularly use that to check servers when I get complaints, if something is wrong its usually quite obvious.

Well, the thing about Ziggo is that it’s basically a mix of a shitload of other providers. Ziggo went mad at some point and decided to just buy the other ISPs. So Ziggo might be top quality on location A, but on location B it could be the worst ISP you could choose for.
In my area, it’s shit.
Welcome to all-round ISP’s.

fps is more about consistency than actual numbers. as long as it is 250+ the difference is going to be placebo so long as it is consistent.

After checking sv fps after I found servers to be good/bad I can say 500 feels better than 250. Above 500 there is no difference.
