Lag in tf2 only?

Any ideas why my ping is sometimes stupidly high in tf2 but if playing quake online seconds later my ping is fine? Normally if i wait 10 minutes or so ping dies down in tf2 but its just stupid..
Any ideas?

Nope, I even turn off steam friends. Still lags.

I’ve also recently reinstalled windows (not because of this) but it still does it. o_O
