its out:

– The Engineer’s teleporters can now be upgraded to level three. It will recharge faster the higher level it is
– The Engineer’s dispensers can now be upgraded to level three. It will give out metal and heal faster as it is upgraded
– Spies will be able to recharge their cloaking ability by picking up ammo off of the ground or from health cabinets
– Some changes to the second part of the first stage of Goldrush to give the attackers more of an advantage
– Any weapons that fire bullets (shotguns, sniper’s machine gun, heavy’s minigun, etc.) can now break apart the Demoman’s stickybombs
– The icon on the HUD for a person calling for Medic will now give more information to the medic (if the target is low on health, on fire, etc.)
– Added an achievement tracker that will allow people to choose specific achievements that they are trying to get
– There is now a custom icon for death messages when the player was killed from a critical hit
– Added a new particle effect for when a player enters the water
– Added smoke to the feet of a rocket jumping soldier
– Players will now have some particles swirling around them so other players can see when they are overhealed

All I can say is that I really hope valve learned that weapons with health buffs are a horrible idea.

its definately interesting that stickys can be destroyed by projectiles now especially for the scouts, destroyed stickys give ammo if u pick them up too.
but ONE destroyed sticky gives a soldier SIXTEEN rockets (i tried), which might be a little bit over the top :)

now imagine playing turbine with a uberd demoman pushing for the intell. after this update he might have lots of trouble getting the sg down if an enemy scout/soldier/heavy(?) destroys the stickys he throws at the sg. on top of that a sentry that is repaired by an engineer whos now getting a lot more heal and metal from his level 3 dispenser.

NOTE: might be that my thoughts have major flaws as i just thought of it :)

It’s so annoying that valve comes with updates basically for public side of the game, leaving the competition side suffering..Destroying stickies? Come on.

Destroying stickies and giving anyone full ammo because of it, might be over the top. Nerving the Demoman was a demand for a long time, but I don’t know if this will balance the power of the demoman with that of two soldiers, two scouts and/or a heavy, as these are the most common classes.

I guess we will see what Valve has in store for us with the Scout update, I’m looking forward to it anyway! :)

Destroying stickies? That’s just stupid as hell, I was expecting a damage nerf or a time detonation nerf, but not this. And they didn’t tweak the pipebomb damage range? gg valve

idd that sticky thing could change the whole 6on6 game …. or not … needs to be tested.
those smaller updates seem to be very nice … medics got more infos, to know someone is buffed … good stuff.
making the demo less effective and power up the engi, that could mean some:

engineers still won’t really be used in regular 6v6 map play. It would take forever to get a level 3 dispenser, tele and SG. Though it will be interesting to watch some clans _try_ to make it effective.

It will help on gravelpit, dustbowl etc.. but I would say mostly for attack.

Public play will be fun.

oh and the sticky thing is nothing special, you just might get a few hero scouts trying to shoot the sticky on the floor before the demoman dets it. It won’t change anything though.
