why do you use m0rehud? (curious)

Although I use revan_xp’s and I don’t intend to change it whatsoever, but there’s a slight suggestion. In minmode 1, with m0res buffed health meter, the transparent cross covered like 90% of the health nos, not the whole thing. Yours covers the whole thing when fully buffed AND edges out of the health bar. IMO it looks pretty ugly and maybe one of the reasons why people are still using m0res. What I mean is, the transparent health cross when the player has low health should be used when the player has fully buffed health but in the white colour. Also the last damage done above the health is really, really ugly IMO. A lot of people are using your HUD though, I’m pretty sure that the majority of old m0re HUD users have switched over to yours.
Why fix something if it isnt broken. The only reason why i changed is because the morehud broke the spy cloack bar.

you CANNOT use the screenshots to pick on this hud. they have been resized and therefore you can’t compare the screenshots with m0re’s hud.
– i agree about the damage numbers, and engi hud though. also, broesel your scoreboards arn’t as good as m0re’s.
Just for the sake of making a point, i installed the hud and have found even more things i’d personally change.
– On the team choosing screen, the font is literally all wrong. I can’t seem to figure out what you’ve done to the CAPSLOCK letters with this font, whether it was like that or you modified it (wasn’t noticeable in m0res atleast). But fact of the matter is, Theres too much space or something between each letter when in capitals, it makes it look messy. A pinch too big.
– Scoreboard: There it is again. The font spacing, WHY? Makes it look messy, please change it. You see it on “0 players” as well.
– Is there supposed to be a flashing ammo when low on ammo, or did you remove that? Because that isn’t working for me at least.
– On the target id without colors, a buffed health cross on it looks badly made, shadows are wrong. Health number is also too small.
– Make the numbers on the timer just a tiny bit smaller maybe.
– When engineer, the ammo in the middle of the screen is a different color from the health (being different is ok, just shouldn’t be noticeable). Its the shadow’s fault.
On the bright side, i see you’ve already fixed the health number colors in the last update, good boy! Also you’ve removed the green from the engi build thing, but the box could still be a tiny bit bigger to give it a bit of air.
Whether or not its the kind of thing anyone but me would want (since alot of people seem to like the green ubercharge bar and i have no idea why), i’m suggesting it anyway. http://i51.tinypic.com/5e7djp.jpg and http://i55.tinypic.com/8x1kr5.jpg
Sorry if i sound like a picky bitch, you asked for constructive criticism and criticizing is what i do best :D And honestly, if you fixed those things (or most of them), i’d use your hud in a heartbeat.

I released version 1.2 yesterday – it contained lots of changes on things that I first implemented and was happy with but soon realized that they are, nuff said, SHIT – e.g. the HP display, which btw was changed in version 1.1 anyways but is now, additionally to being included, default.
Something I noticed is, that most things in my HUD that people don’t like are details in the minmode or Medic HUD or whatever – things I don’t use personally (or classes I rarely play). Or how do you think it could happen that I had this shit bug in the 6v6 scoreboard @ the initial release?
YES, because I don’t use the 6v6 scoreboard :D
So, I wouln’t have made this thread if I hadn’t changed that much in version 1.2 that I released yesterday. Because WHAT I changed there and HOW I changed it overlaps with the opinions here to a big extent, which is good – it shows me that I appearently did a lot right with yesterday’s update :)
also, please don’t judge from the screenshots – they are from version 1.0 :D

It does always take a couple of games to get used to a new HUD. Things look weird and difficult to see at first.
I really dont see the differences between morehud and broeselhud. But i am not female after all, oh boy.
I used to use m0re’s HUD, and switched over to Community HUD when that died. I noticed your update of m0re’s HUD about a month ago, but didn’t use it for a lot of reasons already posted in this thread.
I’ll re-download and go re-evaluate right now ;)
EDIT: It’s definitely better than it was, but it feels strange to be on a different HUD again so I think I’m gonna just stick to CommunityHUD and find a way to get the uberbar centered.
The only criticism I have atm though, is that the font looks a bit off. I can’t exactly explain what I mean by this though … it just “feels” weird.

hey broesel, whatever you do dont stop updating the hud along with then new tf2 updates but dont make any radical changes either. I use your hud because its very m0re alike (simple) and I am not planning on looking for a new hud very soon.
