Hello

we inform you that Team Fortress 2 will not be supported by our systems any more and your rent will remain active until the expiration.
We suggest to evaluate following new gameserver provider:

http://www.hiperz.com

as alternative of n1ping.

Don’t hesitate to ask for any informations

Thank you
Best regards.

n3ga

The gameserver will be not deleted untill the end of the rent.

for questions you just open a ticket.

Childish response and not necessary, n1ping staff answer any ticket and they will of course not terminate any existing contract. They work on the best possible service, and the “important” demand of resources that TF2 has made them escalate their services with Hiperz.

On behalf of the TF2 team (we been using n1ping and Hiperz service for a year now), I can confirm that their servers are of high quality, and that the staff is ready to help out in anyway possible. Hiperz delivers fast powerful servers combined with an amazing admin interface allowing teams more flexibility in their choices of the locations they want to play at.

If you have any questions regarding a future TF2 server at Hiperz, feel free to query anyone in the TF2 team, and they will be happy to give their experience.

So basically, no worries Grandma, you chose the right place :)

Cheers

so if one paid for 12 months n1ping will still let you have tf2 on your server for the next 12 months? If that’s true then I retract my previous comment.

How is that a childish response, if they are about to cancel a service they should atleast notify the potential costumers at the webpage.

It’s like I’m renting a car that I’m gonna use for driving, after a few days they inform me that no you cannot drive and no there is no refund, but you can however use it as a sleeping place and to cook meatballs with the cigarette lighter

You should’ve gotten an email (I have), which clearly says that gameservers will remain active untill their expiration date.

I have 2 servers with n1ping, one that expires in a week, the other 2 months from now. I’m sure i can use the second one for another 2 months.

It’s the VAT in their own country, Italy. The current VAT rate in Italy is 20% :)

Because you’re making a European purchase you would need to pay VAT at their rate, unless you are making a business to business transaction, in which case you’d give your VAT ID and the transaction would be zero rated.

the gsp that have a vat is garantuee you that you are buying a product.
When you buy a gameserver from a gsp that doesn’t have a vat id than it’s like to donate money to someone without the garantuee to receive a service

n3ga

Vat id percentage is different in any countries…in italy there is the 20% and we can’t decrease it

It’s done through VAT returns, so VAT is still charged but is reclaimed at a later date, you also have to pay for whatever VAT you have added onto your sales, you get a balance by taking the difference and either pay or get paid the amount.

Having a VAT number is no guarantee that a business is genuine or will deliver the product/service that they promise to. It’s up to the purchaser to do their due-diligence on a business and decide for themselves whether it’s right for them.

Here’s a quick note from the HMRC website, which explains how sales to companies in applicable EC states can obtain products zero-rated/VAT exempt from a UK business when exported. It works in a very similar way in reverse too :)

http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPortalWebApp/channelsPortalWebApp.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=pageVAT_ShowContent&id=HMCE_CL_000152&propertyType=document#P597_46175

4.3 When can a supply of goods be zero-rated?
The text in this box has the force of law

A supply from the UK to a customer in another EC Member State is liable to the zero rate where:

you obtain and show on your VAT sales invoice your customer’s EC VAT registration number, including the 2-letter country prefix code; and
the goods are sent or transported out of the UK to a destination in another EC Member State; and
you obtain and keep valid commercial evidence that the goods have been removed from the UK within the time limits set out at paragraph 4.4.

I’ve imported many thousands of pounds worth of products from France, Germany, Austria and Italy. I’ve never paid VAT at their national rates – each time the products are zero-rated aka exempt, because I provided my EC VAT number. For a UK business this means I would have a “GB” prefix before my VAT number.

You are correct though in that the value of the acquisitions from applicable EC member states are put into box 9 on the VAT return form :)

God I hate VAT :D
