i have to admit ive never rlly used the old recording tool alot, but this one defo gets the bar alot lower to start editing again. So props for the whole update and programme it looks and works awesome.

However i have a little problem with the encoding panel. I’ve followed the instructions but i just can’t use the Lagarith codec, its located and all but when i use it the pop up window closes immidiately but it gives no error

Why won’t someone explain nothing works in it I can’t record if I do a rotation it freezes(nothing to do with my name I remind you) after the rotation and I can’t do anything and I have to close it through task manager AARGH!

roQ.? :
1) motion blur doesn’t work when you record. Color correction isn’t that good just turn it on if you want to.

2) Yes the graphics are “higher” than the ones found in the graphics options.

Exfane:
Have u located mencoder.exe? If it doesn’t work, then use the vdub compiler, u can compile videos to lagarith there.

War:
you could try replacing the default skyboxes in the moviefiles folder with your own, I think someone did it on gotfrag

Phroz3n:
Are u using the number keys? I wouldn’t use it if it causes problems, there are so many wait commands. Just do it manually with your arrow keys, if that doesn’t work, then I can’t help you right now, but I will look into it.

OK then but the number keys work for the first spin then it freezes and the arrow keys don’t work at all I’m going to give it another go and see how it goes after that I don’t know.

Nope, Nope, Nope it doesn’t work I can’t even start a demo now I use the playdemo command and it doesn’t work my tf2 crashed I left it for a while like with 0.55 but it didn’t work. This just doesn’t work for me.

Geten

I get a message about JIT-bugging when I tried launching it. Long as the Mosaic law. It has this in the end:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

My sin is that I launched this launcher impatiently while still having the older version on my desktop. Is this the culprit? How can I get all this to work?

I have a problem, I have PLDX open and I click at the bottom start Team Fortress 2 and it won’t start all the options grey out like normal for one second and then it goes back to normal and nothing happens, I had it working last night and this morning I downloaded the ffmpeg thing, this wouldn’t have anything to do with it would it?

just start tf2 and try again, usually this fix this problem.

Yeah as Cla said, launching the game once through steam will make it work again. If there’s been a tf2 update then launch the game once through steam, then it should work fine.

Phrozen

OK, Thanks. Are there any ways to make it less laggy? Without buying a new computer lol?

as far as i know there is almost no pc that is able to record demos to tga/wav without a massive drop in fps – thankfully that is not a problem as the recording is fine anyway.

Well I was recording .avi’s which I think is worse because the files are huge and very good quality

tesco

mrp.

stop it. DO NOT record as avi. ever. it’s bugged like hell, and you can’t record more than 2 gb’s at one time

tga is more reliable and better

Phrozen

Ah, so that would be why the encoding is fucked up for me?
