VirtualDub is where it’s at. http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ It’s a free download. Record the clips as TGA (F12 on the pldx tool), as the avi recording is bugged and doesn’t work very well.

You load up the video file, called a1_000001 or something similar, then you go to audio and get audio from another file and choose the a1_wav.

Then you go to video and frame rate and type in the same FPS as you recorded at.

Then you select record as AVI, give it a name and wait for a bit as it does it for you.

Then you can load that avi clip into vegas, edit away and profit.

Make sure the resolution you pick isn’t bigger than your monitor.

Make sure the demo name has no charcters other than numbers letters and maybe an underscore. Any question marks or other punctuation wont work.

Make sure it has .dem at the end of the file name.

Last of all wait for a while, mine often says ‘Not responding’ when in fact if you wait an extra few seconds it’ll come on and start playing. Patience my Padawan, patience!

Thanks a bunch I’m gonna try it out now, although one thing with 1.2(I havn’t tested 1.3 yet) well most of the keys don’t work I could use 1,2,3,4 but I couldn’t set the camera speed I could get it 50% 75% or whatever but when spinning it stops starts again stops and I’m not pressing anything and when it was at 100% camera speed it took 3 minutes to do one rotation and I was forced to set the change the playback speed in sony vegas to make it smaller while using wmm to speed up effect so that it didn’t lag. Also, I couldn’t record with PLDX I could start recording the files and none of the keys say for example 1 or 2 would work so I was forced to record it with fraps while spinning around which took 3 minutes then I had to put it in movie maker speed it up put it in sony vegas and change the playback speed and it still takes 21 seconds for one rotation after all that and plus the arrow keys don’t work at all. only camera speed and spin keys work as far as I have tested and my friend keeps getting an error as well.

I can’t encode my lagarith files from AE since the last update.

I’ve downloaded the whole stuff, when I click the encoding-button the command prompt with the usual ffmpeg commands flashs up for a second but insta closes and leaves a mp4 with 0 byte size in the output directory. now i am sad.

overheal bug, that’s one of the visual glitches they meant

can someone explain it to me because the tutorial is bullshit at helping me ._.

1) pldx seems to set graphics at max everytime it starts tf2, so why motion blur and color correction are disabled?

2) also about the graphics: does pldx sets graphic more than normal user can set using options (like chris’ maxframes)?

Is there a way to add more custom skybox’s to the list? I’ve also tried using Adam’s tutorial in conjunction with the PLDX tool and it doesnt seem to work
