Constant fps drops.

I’m using Chris’ FPS config (max frames), and have been using it for a long while now. I’ve always had the fps capped at 120, and it always used to stay at 120 and only drop on a very rare occasion, and go back very quickly. Now, it’s seeming to drop to 64, then drop a down to 20, then back again. It’s doing this a LOT.
Checked your game-files integrity?
(Assuming that you haven’t changed stuff in the config/game that causes it)
does that happen in specific times? like mid fights?
cuz if its constant u might as well tell us when exactly it occurs
