I hate to say this but… sounds terribly op in competitive gameplay. I mean, sentries are pretty much only used as a last point, last resort defence attempt anyway so it’s not even meant to stay up long… Of course with no auto-aim the point is vulnerable but the brute power of it seems too much. And 8-9 rockets/pipes to destroy it? Doubled firerate? :/

i wouldn’t be so sure about it.
The sentry is defensless (inactive) for three seconds after the Engineer switches away from the Wrangler
so, without wrangler equipped right now the sentry will work just like normal sentry. if you switch to wrangler, sentry gets this op shield and you can manually aim. so killing engineer/switching back to other weapon renders the sentry useless BUT only for those 3 seconds.
It’s highly unlikely that after 3 sec it would switch back to being a normal aimbot SG. It would definitely be overpowered in that case. The real question is : unlike the normal SG does it have a range limit?
Because if it hasn’t, you basically have a piece of portable rocket artillery that can spam anywhere in direct view of the sentry. Even when it’s a mile away. And don’t forget, rockets have splash damage.
