Then you’re doing it wrong.
Tap F1 once to change spawn, wait about half a second, then tap it again.
bind mouse4 +quickswitch
While using the rocket launcher, press 2, then click on the shotgun and go to the resuply cabinet in spawn.
What about changing back to shotgun from gunboats though, Stew? :(

i just copy pasted it in my soldier.cfg
whats wrong about that?
The fact that once you change class another class config gets executed.
Slap it in some aliases.cfg
