Every time I open the ESL website I’m like “Where do I click, what the fuck is this shit”.

This, I made a mistake of trying to find the next games on there for TF2…

I somehow ended up in the FM10 Brazilian Tournament…

cos the players are to stupid to navigate on the ESL site and are too lazy to observe the rules and are also way too stupid to use esl wire.

it would be great if esl.tf2 would be growing cos ESL is a great league and its a league with a working anti-cheat (very important fact).

but like someone above said its hard for esl to support us when they see that half of the higher clans drop during a EMS season or sth. like that.

and everyone is talking about price money….

ETF2L also got no price money and is still the biggest league so who cares bout price money????

Can i just point a few things out here.

Those who seem to stand against more TF2 support from ESL. You also talk about how you want EMS to continue. Further you talk top teams being a mess of transers and inactivity, clearly you haven’t seen the CSS or COD4 scenes (both with full EPS support). On top of this you say the community is big enough, well surely this means more competition is a good thing, and surely if it is big enough it deserves something like EPS.

I’m going to talk to ESL.

dont be hating on the site, its a mess but tbh i think thats because they expanded past what their site could contain, and so just kept on adding modules to it until its a fucking mess. the hearts in the right place

I’d like to thank and blame Deneusbeer for this.

He made the etf2l site so fantastically brilliant that people can’t be bothered with the ESL site… or really any other for that matter. The ESL site really isn’t SO bad you can’t find anything, within a minute i was able to find the TF2 section, then news about matches and signups for their ladders.

Wire/Aequitas etc is dire and to be fair is probably a genuine reason if its causing you problems; but to say you didn’t signup because “their site was bad” is a fucking pathetic excuse, I’d always though most people here and fairly intelligent.

Also, I’d like to point out, there was a somewhat big picture of the front page with a link to this:

None of the following sites had any mention of that:
ETF2L
Vanilltf2
Cadred
FakkelBrigade.eu (may not be a news site, but it has plenty of readers)

(EDIT: Just noticed theres an ETF2L Radio broadcast of this match)

Thats why ESL doesn’t support TF2. If that game was happening in division 1 ETF2L we’d have 3 days notice, a vanillatf2 article, a cadred article and quite likely an ETF2L radio broadcast of it.

The ruleset’s bad I agree, but at this moment in time, if you want TF2 to get big, ESL is a necessary evil.

? I dont see how its such a difficult site to navigate around. Besides, after the season ends, plan on major work, so maybe you’ll be happy then
