Hey I cant see my uber status or the line that is shown down low when healing. Also my ammunition is gone. is it the update? pls help

Hm, my guess is that you maybe copied IP’s incorrectly, but I could be wrong.
When you get home, try copying one of the sections you have in quotes (connect ###;password ABC) and pasting it into console. If it freezes at the same part, you probably have the wrong IP address.

Yeah, when I paste “connect 85.236.102.75:30715” into console, it gets stuck on “Connecting to server…” (it doesn’t even tell me I need the correct password). That means the IP address is wrong. Either the server moved, no longer exists, or you copied the wrong address. Also, for your Home Server button, you’ve got a “:” after the word “connect” that you’ll probably want to get rid of at some point too.

I dunno where you’re getting the IP but it doesn’t appear to be the right one. When you think you have the IP address, go into console and type “connect IPADDRESS” (replace IPADDRESS with the actual IP address) and hit enter. If it gets past “Connecting to server…” then the IP address is valid. If it gets stuck, like these ones, something is wrong.

With the current setup, to make connect bookmarks, you just need to past this into autoexec and fill in the blanks:

alias JoinHomeServer “connect ; password ; rcon_password ”
alias JoinBookmark1 “connect ; password ”
alias JoinBookmark2 “connect ; password ”
alias JoinBookmark3 “connect ; password “

While this technically involves the extra step of pasting, it also means that the HUD never actually needs to be edited, so your bookmarks will be maintained after every single update; if this wasn’t the case, you would need to edit 4 lines of the HUD’s files every single time you update or reinstall it, a far bigger pain than having to paste once.
There are more minor reasons too. If you want to make one of your buttons do complex scripting, you won’t have to locate said script in pieces between autoexec and HUD files; if you’re unfamiliar with how to set the bookmarks, going to the Settings page on the HUD site will introduce you to additional options and scripts you might have overlooked; if you’re unfamiliar or uncomfortable with editing HUD files directly, you can safely tinker with your script files instead.
