All I’m sayin was – when I had no control on my account, it was showing vac banned. When I got the link to reset my password and regained control of my a/c… it was gone.. so yeah.

but this is the first time I hear that someones VAC-Ban has been deleted. you can consider yourself very lucky. :)

Never heard of VAC bans being removed at all :/ Even if it’s from the person that hi-jacked it :
I was under the impression that Valve wouldn’t risk someone faking their account getting stolen, then getting VAC’d from hacking, then getting unbanned to the original user.

steam support can remove the ban, and have been known to in certain cases.

yes, and any servers that implement a manual VAC check.

because Valve never DID.
VAC is a system developed by valve but not CONTROLLED by it, once a steam acc gets banned, it will be forever.
thats why you should never download things youre not 100% sure theyre not infected

Considering 99,9% of all reasonable servers are VAC secure and the game has no offline-mode – yes, it does stop game access.
