My Steam account has been hacked. I got my account back now, but I am VAC banned. So I have created a new Steam account. Can an admin please change my Steam ID?
Where can I actually find my Steam ID?

I knew Valve removes vac ban on hijacked accounts :)

no they wont, Use of your Steam account is your responsibility.

Note:

In the event that a hijacked Steam account is banned by the Valve Anti-Cheat System, Steam Support can not remove the ban.

vac bans wasnt permanent before neither, but now they are. Dont know when they changed their policy about those. But havent removed bans in 2 years i think

Edit: but yes, talk to an admin on IRC, that’s the proper way of doing things in these kind of situations.

To get your steamid, get in a server, and type “status” in the console, that’ll give you a list of all connected players (including yourself) along with their steam ID.

well I guess I was lucky then!

I contacted them within 5 mins, so I always reckoned they put the vac ban on so the person couldnt access any of my games….

If your account gets locked when you’re logged on, it will say so.

“This account has been disabled” or some mumbo jumbo whenever you try to access any features at all.

(My account was mistaken to be someone else’s)
