I just took a look at the tables and saw too many dropped teams, which may somehow annoy some other teams whether they won on them already or messed up with the season experience (especially with the new week maps system), also there is like 50 teams registered for that season and didn’t enlist yet, so why not just enlist those with the folded teams results? (if they don’t like the results you may not add it to the team history or whatever, but to participate for the rest of the season)
About the skill level, if a div2 team dropped for example and found no team in the non-enlisted teams want to join such high div, same way would go like rockit’s folding and choosing lower div team to replace them, then the non-enlisted team would join that lower div

Although every drop is disappointing, the other teams in the divisions don’t lose anything when all results are nullified. If you were to keep the results then it would be very awkward to place teams, because some teams are actually doing well when they drop. At the moment, it doesn’t matter where you are in the queue on the waiting list, because you will have to replay all the games when you replace a dropped team. If we kept results, some replacement teams would get more points than others.

Also, there are no teams on the waiting list for the top 4 divisions, so replacing them would require an incredible amount of work in bumping up teams from each division. Our current way is just simpler.
