I often ask myself that why i can`t search for a merc in a simple way like we are searching for an opponent.
And also when i want to merc for someone … what i need to do? Add to my nickname in steam something like “//merc“? =/
That is not the answer!
So i suggest that it would be better if we would have an irc channel like “#tf.wars” for searching mercs or mercs seaching for clans.
And of course it should have its own rules.
My small suggestion: Those who are searching for a merc or a clan must use this template: Class // DIV // Language.. (You can suggest a better template.)
I thought that we could create many channels like “#etf2l.3d” that would contain people from 3rd Division (and the same with other divisions), but don`t know how would it be rationally if we can just make 1 channel like #etf2l.merc or anything like that. This is what we can and need to consult :)
P.S. What do you think about this, people? Say that!
If you do this, make it one channel for all divisions tbh. Also, there was talk a while back about a merc bot where people can add to the list so they dont have to actively post in it to ask for a merc.
Tried before, doesn’t work, people won’t be arsed
I`m not about “i will create a mini channel…”
You don`t see the etf2l prefix?
This can be made and be posted in etf2l news. I think after that people will go there, because its not useless :)
#mixmercs ?
#mixmercs ?
You don`t want that ETF2L will make this?
ETF2L is a large Community and can make a very popular merc searching channel, where will be much more people.
It will not be posted in an ETF2L news post, stop kidding yourself :]
Do not think that this is not feasible.
Dont see any point in creating a new channel, when theres already #mixmerc. Maybe just add that to next news post on etf2l to promote it?

Yes that bot would be useful.
For example:
some user goes to #etf2l.merc and type there “!needmerc soldier 4div” and will get the full list those who were searching for a clan in the recent hour.

If you don`t want that – of corse it would not be posted, but if you want it ….
I think people are afraid of changes or too lazy to add a new channel in their irc client.

I’d say it’s more effective to promote the mixmerc channel then to make a new one.
