brb, starting movie from scratch
As much as I like the idea, it’s the fact that everyone has to use the same clips that tick me off a bit, as we could risk ending up with a whole bunch of awesome movies that are boring to watch just because we’ve seen the content before.
Good initiative though, we need more epic TF2 movies. I have a pretty neat spy highlander clip if anyone needs it ^^

well, then theres a lack of creativity imo, ofcourse its gonna be a bit repetetive (spelling? :D), but you can always differ your clip alot from the lot, with different music, a different color scheme, and all that.

I have a problem though, my motherboard fried up about 3 weeks ago and now I only have a shit laptop with 512ram and an athlon xp 2800+ so I won’t be able to do HD (or I will, but it’ll be very slow); will the resolution matter that much?

Go for it, Please. The only thing putting me off making a frag video is having to wade through hours of demos and such to find good frags. I used to be quite into video editing and i helped produce DVD’s of some smaller gigs of local bands (filmed and edited myself) so i’d really love to have some nice material to work with.
Can I ask though, is it possible to use other demos for things other than frags, similar to the fly over thing at the start of Random Damage? Not nescessarily for that exact purpose, but things along those lines.
P.S. Could we make it mandatory for it to be in 1080p? Or at least 720p? I know i may sound like im being rotten here but I think HD makes such an immense difference to the quality.

To mix it up abit: have the panel take out enough stuff to for 10 minutes, and then people can just make the movie with a timelimit on the movie at around 3/4minutes.
Or make different packages or something. Pack A contains 20 demos, Pack B contains 20 demos etc.

The best way to do it is to give them demos and tell them they have to use all of them, then you get the different styles of syncing and editing etc…

sure, aslong as the frags are the same as everyone else use, thats pretty much where your own imagination puts the limit. and what makes your movie stand out

thats what the panel do, and its only the sickest frags that will be in (hopefully), lets say we create a thread like klu did, and people send in their demos, div 3+, or even div 2+. depends on what kind of interest it generates.
well see, im happy it gained this much interest this fast :)
