Ok so heres the idea, had this one in mind for a couple of weeks.
Players submit their demos to a panel of judges that select sick frags worth of 2-3 min MAX, which makes the movie max 2-3 mins. That should make the work period fairly short for the editors.
The editors, a minimum of five i guess, gets the same demos and same frags to work with, simple as that. Then be as creative as you can, use your own music, etc.
I bet this will boost the TF2 scene even more with some competitive within the movies thats gonna show the CSS, CS and CoD4 scene that we can make some kickass movies aswell.
Bare with my english as im tired, hope you get the concept anyway.

Question; When you get the frags, are they in demo format or are they already recorded?
My computer isn’t that willing to record right now.. :/

we should make moar better movies and BIGGER than CoD series :D
I mean take VAE vene vidi vici :), what TF2 movie beat that almost none ;(
Its becasue they have awesum graphics, commantary great editor and its a long movie
But yea its a team movie but still

They would have to be in demo format, to show the different styles of editors.

Atty: i was hoping to get help from the etf2l to organize this, if they doesnt show any interest i might work something out myself with some help :) so atm there is nothing said about anything really, im just seeing if theres any interest in the scene.
voi-Bun: .dem as it would be fairer to everyone, if your gonna download 2-3 min footage in 90, thats gonna be like 25 gb. Which isnt possible for everyone to download in a certain amount of time. And .dem gives you the opportunity to smooth the footage, which some editors want to do :)
returnzor: the graphics for tf2 are amazing aswell imo, and i agree with you that the tf2 scene needs better movies in terms of quality like, Random damage, xensity, Auto-aim, etc. etc.
