can anyone enlighten me on the reasoning why payload and a/d gives you points for winning a round while 5cp and koth maps dont?
just interested (btw its like the worst feature)
sorry i can’t
it’s nuanced so its not worth explaining it to the community.

could you explain further? i don’t quite understand what you mean.
To my understanding 5CP and KOTH are basically BO1, while PL and A/D are BO3. It’s just that it’s determined differently what winning a round means. It can be very close and you won’t get any points in any gamemode. Which is also why there are two maps in the 5CP+KOTH weeks, just like in 6s.
The only strange thing about this system is that there can be draws in the latter, but not PL and A/D. But I guess that’s only because having a third decider map during the regular season would be inconvenient or possibly take too long.
I don’t know why I’m responding to a Muuki thread, but w/e
The only change that could be made is to spread the points for koth games to be 2-1 for games that finished 3-2, 3-1 is honestly a roll and the losing team can’t be rewarded for that. And hello, you have golden caps in 5cp.
Honestly koth scoring has been win or lose for too long to change it, so yeah.

Slavery was around for a lot of time but it was changed

It took quite a time to inform everyone about that and people had to adapt to a life without slaves. What a poor time to be alive. ETF2L has to learn from the past to avoid the same mistakes.
