Restrict teams selecting a flag if they don't have any players from that country

I feel autistic about people putting Zimbabwe or Barbados as their teams flag, on top of everything it’s not even a fun joke at all.
No fun allowed
And what’s to stop them making up some bullshit story about a relative they had who granted them dual nationality or some nonsense like that just to get a cool flag?

In other sports you have to prove your nationality by sending picture of your passport. Perhaps ETF2L should do the same and force every player to hand out their personal information to Permzilla?

I don’t like this exceedingly negative tone here. Xacher is bringing up a valid point regarding just how serious/unserious etf2l is. Does etf2l want to be taken as a serious competitive medium or does it want to be simply a place for casual fun and lulz?

Also it’s hard to take a supposed valid point seriously when it begins with “I feel autistic”.

I guess this could work in the higher divisions, but we are never gonna get new people in if they have to do all kinds of shit to prove their nationality in order to play videogames.
I also feel that this is the biggest problem european tf2 has.It would be so easy to make tf2 a major esport but no some kids acting up and choose a different flag to troll. I think etf2l should hand out penalties for this misbehaviour maybe even hand out short term bans so this league can be professional

i really don;t think this is an issue. it’s very irrelevant since people display their countries on their own profiles. the team flag just servers as a type of banner.
