Should be a rule that in-game team names (the ones you choose with F4) shouldn’t be humorously misleading. If your aim is to popularise TF2 among a wider esports audience, it doesn’t help when your top two teams call themselves “elem.v” and “AL13”.
who the fuck cares about team names this isnt cod who make their team names like XXXPRONOSCOPEPOWARXXX
What are you suggesting then? Tell the big teams to change there name to something like “we pro act professional”
..your point?
rip in peace epsilol

That isn’t even a good example for what you are suggesting, since those names are in no way misleading. Also how is elemental violence and Aluminum our 2 top teams? :D
Both ingame team names are abbreviations of their team names on the etf2l site. Pretty sure elemental violence is using elem.v as a tag and Aluminum is using ₁₃.
I think he’s referring to the BFF vs Epsilon game where the teams used the names elemv and 13Alu on the ready-up options, presumably because they used the same server as those teams used on the previous night.
The streamer could always edit their HUD to change the team names manually (that way there wouldn’t be a 6 character limit)
It’s like a 30 second fix

You could have thought about that for a minute and straightened it out in your head, couldn’t you?
If the problem could be fixed by VTV cameramen then yes, they should do that.

To be honest I couldn’t care less. The scoreboard is barely shown in casts, and both the commentators and the players’ names makes it easy to indicate who’s who.

You could also have been clearer, not everybody watches casts/matches.
We are the top two teams so I don’t see whats all the fuss about.
But why have rules about that? Let the shitty teams have their names including words like “gibus, pony, sir and gentlemen” so you at least know what sort of team you’re dealing with and move on.
