Basically 12 options teams decide on what maps to play before match via map elimination?
Could solve problems on the upper end maybe. But people are god awful at arranging matches anyway though so on the hand prob not. Not that I don’t think its a good idea.

No, I mean have a set 3 maps/week but out of a possible 12 maps, not 6.

Your first idea was better.
Tbh i think for once its not a bad map pool. Yes im always disappointed to see both gran and blands in the same map pool but in the foreseeable future that won’t change. But nice to have freight in there and snakewater.
Would be great one year if we could have a vote that forced us to have a varied map pool. i.e you vote for 2 CP maps out of X amount and 1 KOTH maps out of X amount and the same again for ctf and maybe again for AD maps. That way you’ll have a mixed pool and would lead to an interesting season i feel. Would lead to a nice mixed up map pool rather than 1 AD and 5 CPs this year.
But overall doesn’t sound like a too bad a season.

take gravel pit away (last season teams had the option to choose another map instead of gpit because the map is buggy) and put foundry instead.
The decider map rule is also stupid, team are not going to play it regulary , so why practicing it? just becuase i might play it once as the most important map…
Take there 2 points and implement them and we’ll have a good season :]
btw: FREIGHT IS FUCKING AWESOME!
Take the top 4 maps – Remove the bottom 2.
Then start a new poll with the maps that wern’t chosen and the bottom 2. The top 2 in that poll then become part of the final 6. If freight is in that top 2 then fair enough.
There is nothing wrong with including new maps, the exuse people use for “omg new map no one plays them” well in pcw’s Bad/Gran/Gully are the maps pretty much only ever played so how else do you expect maps to catch on?

I came up something like this:
Why dont u make 8 maps map pool divided into 2 sections. 1 is standard maps like granlands, gully maybe snakewater and 2nd like freight, turbine, gpit and viaduct (3maps total).
With weeks looking like:
STANDARD – CUSTOM
CUSTOM – STANDARD
etc
With standard maps being scheduled for entire season and custom maps being picked before every game by single elimination.
So
GRANARY – (we kick shitty freight, they viaduct – we play turbine)
(same elimination) – BADLANDS
BADLANDS – (again elimination)
So u wont just play ur strongest custom map, but u wont be forced to play gay ones like freight.
So basically everyone will be happy (yes EVERYONE except cp_fondue fans) because if both teams like freight they can play it, if they dont – they can eliminate it.
What do you think?
So map pool would be something like
CLASSICS:
BADLANDS
GRANARY
GULLYWASH
CUSTOMS:
SNAKEWATER
GRAVELPIT
TURBINE
VIADUCT
FREIGHT
(teams have to eliminate 2 maps from custom grid)
Or just screw the voting, put only good maps and keep everyone happy. Much simplier and wont cause any upsets.
