im a little bit confused. whats the current situation they are in right now? i thought rehash was given a def win, hence this thread was created..
No, they were assigned points for winning gpit, as the demo shows. The point of the thread was that the config was not loaded before the last round or whatever and the timer wasn’t initiated properly, thus rehash won the 3rd map even though they capped only two points of three they, by logic, should have capped to win.

and what if rehash just wants to get the def win and refuses to replay it? (not accusing anyone, i dont know those guys)
rehash wins gpit 2-1, it’s their right to claim the score in this particular case.

ok, ty for the heads up. Well yeah, from my point of view, the map actually has to be replayed, at least the 3rd round, since the first two rounds went down flawlessly. As stated several times before, both teams have failed to realize that the config was not executed. Giving a def win to one of them is unfair imo (judging the situation on what i have read in this thread.)

That’s not true at all… you need to cap all 3 fast capping the first 2 faster is a pointless argument. Seen many games where teams can’t hold the first two at all but turtle 3rd like a boss.
why isnt it though? e.g.
you only cap A in 1 min
they cap A in 40 secs
they win
hmm watched the demo, seems that rehash won, because they tied (5-5) in a better time, leaving pt with no chance to win.
what i dont get though, is the B-cap somewhere after tick 150000. Rehash capped all 3 attacking and pt “lost” after capping B with 2mins left of the time rehash set to cap all 3.

guide to prem for teams not willing to compete:
1. always play on the other teams server
2. abuse server bugs
3. this is optional: stay in spawn so the enemy gets a quick 5:0 and you don’t waste to much time you could have spent on more e-drama
4. blame the other team for not loading the right config.
i guess in div5 people are still eager to just get into a higher div, therefore the unsportsmanlike point grab and run. i’m not surprised by that anymore. rehash know themselves very well that they should replay that round. they got 3 points for a mistake that has nothing to do with tf2 skills.
etf2l needs an unfair-play award, as those teams are usually easier to spot than the fair teams ;)
All this thread proves is there are a lot of tough decisions to be made, you won’t always agree with it and if that is the case your point is noted but we’ve only heard one side of the argument.
For the record I’d rather seen the game replayed but that wasn’t my decision to make. From Rehash’s pov they felt like they were clearly going to win, even though nothing is guaranteed so I can understand why they won’t want to replay it. Beef said it best in the match comments, make sure the config is loaded correctly and save yourself the fuss.
“Something both teams failed to noticed. This makes that neither teams have grounds to complain as they’re both at fault.”
Situation brought about by both teams.
Conclusion favors only one team.
Neither team has the ground to complain.
ETF2L reasoning back to it’s finest.

If this ridiculous, absurd ruling is the way you want to set an example and teach (not only, but especially) lower division teams the basics of sportsmanship and fairness in this league – gg.
And btw, it´s such an easy way out of your responsibility to say “we´re fine with a rematch if both teams agree”. It´s a sad thing if the “winners” don´t agree, sure – but it´s even worse that you don´t just make them replay it by a clear, appropriate and fair decision.

Just out of sheer curiosity, how many of you have actually watched the demo and heard both sides of the story and other details?
it doesnt sound like etf2l cfg anyway, so what is this debate about?? when pre season i got told that if there is cfg alteration u simply get def lose
Replay it, Byte, Admirable and Greg cast it on VanillaTF2, have a good time
