How is this decision fair?

Before I write what I’m meant to write just want to apologize if this is in the wrong section of the forums.
Recently, well in fact last night, Proton Continuity and Rehash gaming played their scheduled official on gravelpit. Round 1 went to us, whereas round 2 went to Rehash. This obviously lead to a deciding round to determine the winner of the map. Proton captured A,B and C in a set time however when Rehash capped both A and B on their attacking time the game stopped saying that they won. It seemed that the Config was messed up etc. Both teams decided to contact an admin to determine the outcome. In my opinion the best method to sort this problem out would be to just simply replay the round where the config was messed up. However the admin who dealt with this problem’s decision was to just award the map to the other team, even though they didn’t even cap the three points. How is this decision fair when teams have put a lot of effort into practising maps and then having the whole map taken away from them just because of a faulty config when the opposing team didn’t even capture the required points to win?
If they capped 2 points quicker than you did, they win afaik. then they dont need to win the 3rd
Not sure I fully understand what the problem is, but is it possible that the admin awarded the win based on the other team having the responsibility for setting the server up correctly (if it was their server)?

That’s not true at all… you need to cap all 3 fast capping the first 2 faster is a pointless argument. Seen many games where teams can’t hold the first two at all but turtle 3rd like a boss.
Pretty bullshit to be honest. The other team were explicitly pushing for a default in their favour.
Given that pt.con won the other map (granary) 6-1, it’s quite apparent who the better team are.
Also here is the admin response if anyone wants to read it.
1) Why do we have a division 5 player judging the winner of another division 5 match based on “positioning and uber”. I wouldn’t even be comfortable with a prem player doing that.
2) Why are pt.con being penalised for making a mistake on their server config? Not everyone really knows about how they work, and considering gravelpit of all maps uses a seperate config from every other map in etf2l it just seems like an honest mistake. No one stood to gain an advantage from it.
Did Rehash agree to try bo1?

while I agree that’s a poor argument, it was not just Beef’s decision:
After discussing it with fellow admins and reviewing the supplied demos.

pt.con offered to re-play the round, rehash went straight to the admins asking for a default.
It’s default hunting at its finest.
Where in that post do I say we made a decision considering positioning and über?
Even if I think they were in the advantage of rehash. I invite you to watch the demos if you disagree.
It doesn’t matter if the other team caps two points faster than you if you capped three. They need to cap all three faster, not just the first two.

Currently am, but attacking C can go to shit no matter what team you are…

It doesn’t matter how good or bad of a position either team is in. They should just re-play it.
If rehash were winning, they can win it again.
So to everyone who still has to play gpit officials: modify the cfg in your advantage and “forget” to notice it, easy and free def wins :DD
(no accusations here, just a lot of laughing and crying)
Apparently it’s because there is a rule that you must have the proper config loaded. It isn’t that you lost, it’s that it was your server and your config, therefore your fault.
