I assume they’ll make more sub-divisions in each division if the numbers get high enough, so I don’t think it’ll be a lot harder to get seeded in your requested division will it?

I dont like idea with 8 teams in one div, cuz if 2-3 teams drops (thats happens usually) in your division u have to play only 4-5 matches. We can easily finish season till new year. And start another after it.

Then again, if the divisions are smaller then perhaps only 1-2 teams will drop :)

So what about warnings for not responding to scheduling suggestions? I’ve said it before, but some teams are so bad at communicating that it’s rage-inducing to try to schedule something with them. If I post a question on the match page, or put a proposal in the calendar, then it’s not more than decent to respond to that within a couple of days. On the other end of scheduling madness: teams that don’t respond to anything and take a wildcard half an hour before the match would start at the default date. That’s just trolling, and it that has no place in this league.

Well, trolling does, but not trolling me.

Well, one of the advantages is that it’s easier to put a default date on a preferred date earlier in the week (Monday/Tuesday) now. At what point would you want to see teams getting a warning?

How come you don’t have it so default dates are set automatically at the start of the week, and then teams are expected to reschedule? Surely that would save the admins a shit ton of effort setting them all.

Are there any plans to stop the amount of drops we had in s9?

That would only be possible with a fixed default default date and we do not want that.

The reason for most teams to drop was that some of their players lost interest in the game. I can not see how the league could do anything about that. Any suggestions?

I had no ideas myself, as far as I could tell it was all the players’ fault, just wondered if you did :D

How come? Remember most people don’t actually play on the default date.

Also a small deposit (or entry fee) for teams (at least on the higher level) would be good, I don’t think that many people would object to it. Worth thinking about anyway.

How come that it would only work with a fixed default day? – Because in my opinion it is not possible for a program to filter all information from the match pages to set a default date that is suitable for both teams. That would only work with the official schedule proposals. And even if it was, the program would make mistakes and people would want to abolish it.

How come that we do not want fixed default dates? – Personally, I do not like them. If one team can not play on the default date the other team can force them to play on it anyway (if they do not have a wildcard left) and abuse the system. With customised default dates you can still leave a message on the match page with some proposals that would work for your team and it is unlikely that you will get a default date for a different day.
The manual system has proven itself in the past (although it is a high workload for the admins).

I do not understand what you mean with your last sentence. In the past, many teams in the ETF2L actually played on the default date.

I’d be against actually paying, but a deposit would be alright, although I don’t know whether a team forced into playing just to get their money back would be a good thing.

why don’t we want that? Surely that’s the safest way. That way people can’t suggest unreasonable times constantly and be refused, playing for the hope that they’ll get a default date on their own terms.
