Ill start up with a fact that etf2l division seeding is based more on the community than official promotions. :)

There are a lot of teams that get promoted to higher div and fold or just do not apply for the next season, and that means there lots of holes in seedings. Admins are doing really great job trying to balance the divs and ty for them so why not to make their job a bit easier.

My idea is to make division 5-2 or 1 cups that teams from lover divs could sign up. For example team ducks had bad season in div 4, but they are now top div3 team, but how do they prove it to community? Team ducks would sign up into cup that winners would get promoted to div3 and win it. It would be both officially so there would be less flame when tables would be announced, and playing games when you know there is something on the line is much more intense and interesting.

The idea of it is that season games are so rare that means they are so important that few mistakes may mean a lot in long term. Also with dropping teams that mess all your score and etc. The cup would give teams like ducks that are actually active and want to improve in higher level to participate in higher div of a season.

what if you lose, lets say 4:3 and 5:4 in the quarterfinal against the winner of the cup?
you could keep up with the other team, but you are droped out .

You mean we should host one cup for each division and the winning team has a guaranteed spot in the desired division?
I like the idea but the seedings will be flamed at, no matter what :D e.g. a team that loses a match in the div 3 cup gets seeded into div 2, based on their pcw results. w0000t!
