Would it be nice to wrap up the highlander tournament with a showmatch after the finals between the winners of the tournament and a highlander team of competitive players (think Hey That’s or Jari Litmanen)?
Sounds like a good idea, shame this couldn’t of been sorted before when the tournament was announced with two “pro” teams playing to help gain interest on launch of the competition!

Well, having them play from the start wouldn’t be such a good idea. Since then non of the pub teams will have a realistic chance to get the medals (TIS ALL BOUT ZE MEDALS)

“But wait, there’s more! To launch the Highlander tournament, we’re offering a once in a lifetime opportunity to team up with some of the very best competitive players and some of the Valve TF2 staff to play in a special exhibition game, in what will be a thrilling example of the many exciting matches that we’ll see in the competition.”
You don’t think that would be good enough? ;)

6v9 is getting so old, tbh.
Agreed.
I would still be interested in seeing some arguments though…
Us (Jari Litmanen http://etf2l.org/teams/6186/ ) vs the winners of the upcoming cup? I’d play it :D

Most probably, but the winning team will have just played like 30 matches as a team together. I think it would be a good event, even if it was completely unofficial.
