F2’s TF2News IRC bot is great.
If you aren’t familiar, it collates news feeds from the major community news sites.
My suggestion is to have a similar feature on the right sidebar for all those who don’t frequent IRC.
I think the poor ESH sign-ups go some way to demonstrating that information flow within competitive TF2 could be improved.
Just Ask F2

Mwhahaha!
How about making an RSS feed of that news? Would surely be easy enough to make a quick site that just displays it too for those who can’t be bothered with an RSS client.
Yeah I imagine TF2News bot is using RSS feeds…
… or is it? Just http://www.cadred.org/News/Article/103272ask F2![/url]
Yes F2. How do you get 404’d?

heh, it seems there is a bug in etf2l’s url-ifier
It’s on cadreds end, you need to add a slash after each url…
Works: http://www.cadred.org/News/Article/103272/
Doesn’t work: http://www.cadred.org/News/Article/103272
No its the ETF2L side…
If I paste a link and it auto creates the [Link] text you see it works fine.
But if I use the URL BBCode to label the link it chops off the closing slash.
e.g.
[url http://www.cadred.org/News/Article/103272/]Ask F2[/url]
is output as…
http://www.cadred.org/News/Article/103272Ask F2[/url]

Wouldn’t matter if cadred actually worked properly.
Why the hell cadred doesn’t function without that trailing slash is a very good question.
Why the etf2l site strips it is also a very good one.
I can’t answer the first, and am kinda at a loss for the second, but I’ll experiment with that for a bit.

SUPER BUMP!
TF2 players need to get off their asses and support Cadred, Vanilla, CommFT, ESEANews, etc,
Use your sway (for once) ETF2L!
