I assume that it would be whatever class the person is when the match goes live. Plus people usually start the first round with their main class.

yes the first class when it starting to record..
and one more thing i think can be nice.. in tr mode you can choose name for your team,
and the demo can be REDNAME-VS-BLUNAME-MAP-DATE and maybe class too.. if it possible to do the names..

Regular demo-recording causes similar lag at times too, and it doesn’t really make a difference cause it’s all during the setup time. Apart from it being able to screw up demomans’ jumps, but that’s not really common.

Ahh so that’s what it was. I was puzzled as to what made my game a little jerky for the first 5-10 seconds of a match.

So does recording a demo through the console commands, only way to correct it would be make it record before the tournament actually starts but that would be pretty pointless… As seen as if you triggered a record when both teams readied up then one team unreadied would it stop or would it keep going? The first few seconds of lag has never caused a problem for me :x Can still reach the demo as medic / sticky jump / rocket jump.
