tf2 crashes after yesterday's update

ive updated the game yesterday at night, and after trying to run it, it crashed before reaching the main menu screen. ive verified cache files, didnt work, updated then deleted the hud, still didnt work, deleted all of my launch options and still nothing. today i decided to reinstall the game didnt get anything out of it except for a waste of time.
idk if this is the right forum to ask about it so excuse me if it isnt.

In case you haven’t resolved your issue yet, please elaborate what you mean by “crashing”. Does it just exit straight to desktop? No error codes is displayed?
if then, please go to your event viewer -> Applications and see if you find the HL2.exe crash, and post the event contents here. Alternatively, you can also export your event viewer contents to a file, so can have a look at your recent events, to pinpoint the crash. Steps for that here: http://i.imgur.com/8y4vWeK.png
it’s your cfg, i had the same problem yesterday.
didnt have time to check what commands are crashing the game, but reply if you find out
updating hud fixes it.
try to remove mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware from your cfg
