I don’t know what is happening with my PREC, 3 or 4 months ago it was fine, but now whenever I launch TF2 with PREC’s folders, it crashes after a minute or so, I haven’t done a mistake while installing it, but, yeah.
help

I have the same problem and didn’t manage to resolve it. You still can record ur demos using the tf2 console tho

I sometimes forget to do it manually, would be amazing if there was a bind which would make you record demos and finish demos etc.

Try this:
bind BUTTON1 “record DEMONAME”
bind BUTTON2 “stop”
Or to put it all on the same button:
alias “demorecord1” “record DEMONAME; alias demorecord demorecord2”
alias “demorecord2” “stop; alias demorecord demorecord1”
alias “demorecord” “demorecord1”bind BUTTON “demorecord”
Bear in mind that this will only work for one demo at a time – you would need to rename the demos or get some sort of fancy massive alias network on the go to record multiple demos. However I’m pretty sure that when you record manually like this does, it keeps going across map changes, so you would only need to use the commands once per official.

put the prec files in the addons folder in a folder inside your custom folder :)
Yeah I already did that. The folder’s name is prec, then inside it theres addons and sound, and in the addons folder theres the 3 prec files in it. D:
can you please paste the exact folder hierarchy of the folder of your prec.dll? starting with /tf/
IT SHOULD BE
tf/custom/prec
NOT
tf/custom/RANDOMNAME/prec
Last edited by doks,
tf/custom/prec
then theres addons and sound in the prec folder, and the 3 PREC thingys are in the addons folder
