Hey guys,

I’ve been having this problem since Januari, I don’t remember the date.
I can start tf2 fine when it’s not activated but as soon as I activate mumble overlay it looks like the game is starting then after 5 sec it closes down again.
I’ve tried to search the internet for answers but can only find old threads which have the nod3d9ex solution.
Im getting really desprate, does anyone else have this issue?

What I’ve tried so far:
*hl.exe in mumble whitelist
*remove the mat-file in autoexec
*reinstalled steam
*reinstalled mumble

MSi GT 60
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
CPU: intel i7-3610QM 2.30 GHz
VGA: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670M 3GB
RAM: 8GB

Mumble version: 1.2.5

Lanch options: -nod3d9ex -dxlevel 81 -sw -noborder -w 1920 -h 1080 -console -novid -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd

You can disable the mumble overlay, that’s an option.
Or you can just launch TF2, and then run mumble afterwards.

I think he wants to launch TF2 with overlay and starting mumble after launching TF2 does not bring up the overlay afaik

I have the same issue and had to force myself to play without overlay, which might seem banal but it gets frustrating from time to time.

gonna take a blind guess…

try adding -32bit and -d3d9ex options (NOT -nod3d9ex)

Lanch options: -dxlevel 81

Just remove it
