CFG isn't getting executed?

I backed up my whole CFG before the steampipe, then put it in /custom.
For some reason, my CFG, or at least my class CFG’s aren’t getting executed.
I don’t have my crosshair’s. I added echo “soldier cfg executed” to check, and indeed it doesn’t get echoed.
I don’t understand why, when I put my hud in /custom it all went smooth.
I have no idea what the problem is and I’m not gonna start investigating.
Has this happened to anyone else / does somebody know a solution?

my cfg files are in “common/teamfortress2/tf/cfg”, maybe try putting your files there?
Well no, I had to put it in /common/teamfortress2/cfg. -WIERD

You need to put the configs in their folder, ie custom/userstuff/cfg/xxxx.cfg
