I have no idea what’s going on.
TF folder:

Custom:

I have even tried the /my_custom_stuff folder, also /userstuff, ALSO /MyCustomStuff.
Can someone please help me, I have verified this bs 3 times already, kind of losing my shit with this.

What is the problem?
Does it work when you leave your /custom folder empty?
What’s in your launch options?
Also do you get any error message at all?
Launch Options: -full -w 1600 -h 900 -console -novid -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd -nod3d9ex
No, not a single message.
At what point exactly does it crash? Do you get to see a loading screen or something at all, or just nothing?
This loading screen comes up for 3 sec and then nothing, then I’m back on my desktop.

did you put in a custom hud if yes put the scripts folder from trashbox again in
Are you sure your /cfg folder is completely vanilla?
Turn off steam cloud sync to make sure. Delete config.cfg. Heck, delete the entire /cfg folder just to be sure (don’t worry steam will redownload it).
try verifying you game. at least that solved my problem
my tf folder has scripts and resorce folders in it without any huds there. try Validating your game cache to see if they should be there. i know i deleted both when i got rid of my hud for Steampipe, but i guess some files that aren’t HUD were actually needed.
My CFG file was a old one I had saved up, i’m verifying my game right now.
When I downloaded tf2 yesterday(I formated my PC, I downloaded a fresh copy of it while the steampipe was being added or sth)
The Custom folder I have there was made for me, but everything besides the readme file was put in there by me.
Well my tf2 is working now, for it’s first time.
How do I add my hud to this folder?
/hud(with resources and script) or do I just copy the resource and script folder next to the cfg folder?
