hi i dont want to format the pc only in case theres no other way .
is there any other program i could use to get higher fps again
PC specs ?
Are you using fps configs? dx81 ? Clean your PC from useless programms.
Try running hl2.exe and steam.exe @ high priority in the task manager.
Do you mean the December update?
It effectively took away half my fps on dx9frames, so I switched to maxframes and it’s fine. ( http://fakkelbrigade.eu/chris/configs/ )
Same here. Maxfps, DX8 Specs: AMD FX 4100 Black Edition, Corsair VENGEANCE 2×4 GB, GIGABYTE R685OC-1GD. Had at least 200 fps on mid, now 90.
dxlevel 81
dual core 3 ghz asus p5q pro
gtx 260
it will happen after every update until the min req to run tf2 is higher than Crysis

Ist it already ? :D Sure feels like it
If you don´t mind downloading 6-7 GB then backup your settings/cfgs/hud and delete the tf folder (“Steam/Steamapps/[account]/team fortress 2/tf/”). This should get you some lost fps back.
Apparently big updates mess with the tf folder and steal you 20-30 fps per update (+the usual performance issues with every update) if you don´t download the whole folder at once.
thanks setsul i will try it
i will try it tomorrow

Did that loads of times, gave me back some lost fps but it didn’t help much…
