PREC issue

Hey everyone. Im having an issue with a friends prec.
The program works. It creates demos, it saves them, bookmark key works. However, the person really wants the prec on-start and bookmark commands to post something to teamchat. Even with prec_notify 1 or 2 set, it posts nothing to chat.
On my prec.. on round start it says in console…
[prec]”my phrase”
Teamchat “my phrase”
in hers, it says
[prec]”her phrase”
and then never posts it to teamchat or all chat. Or any chat. I am honestly stumped and have no clue. Tried it with a fresh download of prec without any changes to the file or anything. Any ideas?

there’s an option in the cfg to display it in team chat, overlay or not at all, check what that’s set to
tried that on all settings first
Does it matter if your team doesn’t have a message coming up in chat? I fail to see why it’s an issue…
where in the config do you set the prec_notify option? if you did so through the tf2 in-game menu, it’ll be saved in config.cfg, which is then, possibly, overwritten by steam cloud sync. try turning steam cloud sync off to see if this is indeed the case. if it is, move the prec_notify setting to elsewhere in your config, like autoexec.cfg
alternatively open up config.cfg and just look what prec_notify is set to

It does not matter at all, but it is something they want.
And ill try to get their config files and look through them.
