Uhu. Well, what is the way to go then? Are you saying we should make a petition and try to contact Valve?

You missed the *massive* sarcasm. We’ve been ‘asking’ for this since forever.
Better late than never, cheer up son!

Extract the bin/avi.dll in your Steam/SteamApps//Team Fortress 2/bin folder
You will need to have Visual C++ Redistributable (32bit) installed or it won’t work:

Is it safe?
Yes, valve has no problem with you loading an external program that modifies your game. Please continue to use this without fear.

I wouldn’t say its safe since valve basically said that loading unsigned plugins and playing on vac servers (because then it in someway bypasses something which valve probably wont like)

So that’s all I extract? nothing but the avi.dll?

Does linux load unsigned plugins without bypass?
Yes, tf2 on linux still loads all plugins, signed or unsigned.
However if OpenPlugin gets added to the VAC banlist you will get banned, not for bypassing -insecure (although the anakin found a way to do it after the update) but for using OpenPlugin. Huge spoiler: Valve threatened to do so.

There is no VAC2 module on Linux, and I doubt there is a VAC3 one.
