Inb4 Valve pulls out a magic trick and makes fov_desired 120 with next update

I just jumped into a DM Server and after like 3 minutes I quit.
The game is not fun anymore

I’m not sure why don’t they just raise the max fov to 110 and be done with it. We could eliminate widescreen advantage across the league with sv_restrict_aspect_ratio_fov, without making Eyefinity users sick – everyone would be happy and nobody would have a legitimate reason to use shady plugins.

Clearly the continued usage of these plugins despite VAC ban threats indicates there’s an actual demand for higher fov, a demand so severe that people will risk their accounts and community standing just for it. If that doesn’t make a case for higher fov, then what else can?

In either case, ETF2L’s position on fov plugins remains unchanged – the plugins remain tolerated, but we will continue following up Source VAC bans with league bans regardless of what they’re for.
