Hello,
I recently read Flame’s HUD guide and I found a very interesting entry about the tournament spectator mode :
SpecIndex – The “slot” the player is assigned to make switching to them from spectator simpler. Example: hitting a key bound to slot1 will make you spectate the player with the number 1 in their box.
In other words, the little number shown on specGUI would actually be useful…
The problem is that all my slot keys are bound (to change weapons for example) but it doesn’t work ingame. Maybe I don’t bind the right cmds…
Any ideas to make it work? It would be awesome for casters!
It only works in spectator mode on the server, not STV.
Miek made a plugin that emulates this for STV but you have to run tf2 in insecure mode.

So if I install the plugin, without -insecure will the game launch (for VAC servers) or do I have to install/remove the plugin everytime?
You can just leave the plugin installed and remove “-insecure” from the launch options. The game won’t load it (and it’ll pop up a message in the console saying so).
