I am using this crosshair pack. (Esssobies tf2 crosshair pack)
http://www.gamebanana.com/sprites/2250
And i am using Garm3ns tf2 HUD
http://www.sdx-gaming.eu/?page_id=4097
Whenever i go on servers with sv_pure2 enabled i get console spammed with error messages and my crosshair dissapearing, forcing me to use the default ones.
I’ve heard of something called a “hud crosshair”, what is that and how do i do it?
A crosshair can be added as part of a hud, it’s not really a crosshair like in the game settings, they’re usually simple HUD effects like text which would just be a + or . or O character on the center of your screen, some people have lines drawn vertically or horizontally
This page explains how to do the + variety: http://ozfortress.com/showthread.php?t=39640
Another thread in this forum about a different type: http://etf2l.org/forum/customise/topic-19341/?recent=354944

Pulsing CrossHairs:
Activate the crosshair you want (for ex. xHairNormalPulse) by going to your resource folder and then ui. Search for HudPlayerHealth.
Change visible from 0 to 1.
Normal CrossHairs:
Activate the crosshair you want (for ex. CrossHairNormal) by going to your scripts folder and then hudlayout.
Change visible from 0 to 1.

no, i think the hud crosshairs are based on font files, whereas your custom crosshairs are vtf. You’d have to make a font with the crosshairs shape in order for it to work. if i got that wrong i apologise :P

I still dont understand. I have the create the custom crosshair myself using the text? oh god
Is this the only way? I see no difference between manually creating a + or a O and the default ones.
I decided to use a + and a big O to mimic the custom crosshair. But i have trouble enlarging the O.
In the readme it says:
If you want to change the crosshair size go to your resource folder and then ClientScheme.
Change the tall value to whatever you like.
I try changing the tall values to extreme values but it doesnt make a difference and just moves the crosshair to a different location on the screen.
