So recently ive messed around with configs and shit, and i noticed when cloak is active, weird shadows appear everywhere. Only with viewmodels on and cloaked.

Tried both on and off -autoconfig, total removal of cfgs etc, didnt work much.
Anybody would happen to know wtfs going on?
Isnt that just your cloak being affected by the surrounding/map shadows?
edit: cloaked viewmodel or w/e

This is with chris’ maxfps config. With no config, the shadows are on at all times. Just tried with the quality PLDX thing, shadows there too.

and how do these shadows make the game unenjoyable or unplayable?
So do you only change something when it becomes unplayable or unenjoyable?
So you have default HUD, default graphics and default crosshair?
Seems as if you’ve got something weird going on that’s making ambient occlusion only activate when you’re cloaked. I’d check your configs, and update your drivers.
The fact that it fucks up my fps and general awareness? It’s hard to spot shit when everything changes.
Almost definitely a driver bug related to forcing AO. Stop forcing AO, or force it off.
i had the same problem and only way to solve it was to reinstall GPU drivers. Forcing AO off in drivers did not help.
