kk, so just a quick question:
Is it normal that i do not get a constant 120 fps on a obscure midfight (6v6) when using dx9frames, with this kinda setup (only naming the main stuff):
amd 955 4×3,2
HIS 5770 iceq
4gb 1333mhz ram
win 7 64bit
so yeah just…is this normal ? or should i get constant 120 fps…my fps are dropping to about 95.
If this is normal is there any way i can get it to stay on 120 without using a dx8 cfg ?
I have tryed to lower the picmip thats all…

I’d also would like to know how to get above 80 on a [email protected] using highhighhighframes (or whatever gives the most fps) @ dx8 on obscure @ 1024×768. It really hinders my performance on that map in certain situations. I have no problems staying at a solid 120fps on any other map.

I’ve got a similar setup and i don’t.. So i guess not. With a 60hz monitor i guess it doesn’t matter too much

Obscure is terribly optimised, so thats normal.
Obscure is very poorly optimised, especially in terms of occlusion. It’s just that map, it’s the mapper’s fault that you get such poor fps.
mat_picmip won’t get any more fps if you’re not saturating your memory.

I get shit fps on freight mid and ESPECIALLY gullywash, I updated my video card (Intel GMA4500MHD BASICALLY SHIT!!!!) And that helped Slightly!

Our medic crashed 3 times on obscure in our official, never happens on any other map at all.
